Do you charge for pets?

No, but we do ask for a £100 pound damage and cleaning retention from all guests who wish to bring their pets. We ask that it is sent to us in the form of a cheque in advance of your holiday. The cheque is destroyed if no probs. Please ensure you read our pets policy.

How many pets can we bring?

You can bring up to 3 pets/dogs. We do allow more but we ask you to contact us first.

How much is the deposit?

A deposit of 30% is required to confirm your booking and we will invoice you for the outstanding balance approximately 35 days from you holiday start date. We ask that deposits are sent within 14 days of your booking.

What is the minimum number of nights we can book?

1. Our minimum short break is 5 nights and this is predominately for out of season only. Please contact us to discuss. Owners discretion.
2. Short breaks can be taken anytime between Saturday and Friday so that they do not break up any two week period.
3. We charge 80% of the weekly charge for 5 nights and 90% for 6 nights.

Do you have broadband internet?

Yes and its free.

Do you have a travel cot and high chair?

Yes. We have one high chair and one travel cot which can be provided free of charge - just let us know you need them when you book.

Where can we buy fire wood?

Guests are provided with one laid fire and a basket of wood. Local petrol stations stock firewood, as do most major supermarkets and DIY stores.

What are your arrival and departure times?

Normal changeover day is Saturday. Guests to arrive no earlier than 3pm on date of entry, and to vacate Doonbank Cottage by 10am on date of departure.
